On our way back to Prague, we decided to break up the journey with a couple of nights in Ramsau am Dachstein, a charming alpine village in Austria. It turned out to be the perfect stop—peaceful, scenic, and exactly what we needed after days of traveling.
Waking Up to Mountain Views
The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the fresh mountain air and breathtaking views of the Dachstein range. It felt like stepping into a postcard—green meadows, snow-capped peaks in the distance, and a peaceful atmosphere that made us instantly unwind.
We stayed at Hotel Stierer and had a beautiful view of the mountains, making mornings extra special. Waking up to the sight of the sun slowly lighting up the peaks was a magical experience. Sipping coffee on the balcony, wrapped in the crisp alpine air, was a moment I wished could last forever.

One of the best things about Ramsau am Dachstein is how easy it is to connect with nature. We took a relaxing walk through the meadows, surrounded by stunning mountain views. The peacefulness of the trails, the sound of birds, and the scent of fresh pine made it feel like a true escape from city life.
🏔️ The Dachstein Glacier & Beyond
Although we didn’t have time to visit the famous Dachstein Glacier, just seeing it from afar was enough to make us want to return. The area is known for its suspension bridge and ice palace, both of which are still on my bucket list for next time!
☕ A Cozy Break with Austrian Treats
After a day of exploring, we stopped at a local café to enjoy a warm drink and some Austrian pastries. There’s something so comforting about sitting in a cozy spot with a good view, letting time slow down for a little while.

Our short stay in Ramsau am Dachstein was exactly what we needed—a peaceful break in nature, fresh air, and stunning scenery before heading back to the city. Even though it was just a quick stop, it left a lasting impression.
