✈️ First Stop: Prague ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฟ — Reuniting with My Bestfriends & Starting Our DIY Europe Journey

๐Ÿ“Vaclav Havel Airport Prague

After months of planning, budgeting, and lots of prayers, our dream DIY Europe trip finally began. And where else to start than in the city I now call home – Prague, Czech Republic. ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ’›

My bestfriends flew all the way from the Philippines, and just seeing them walk out of the arrivals gate at the airport filled my heart with so much joy. It was their first time in Europe, and I was just as excited as they were.

We headed straight to our cozy accommodation, full of laughter, hugs, and kwentos like the kind of reunion that hits different when it happens in another part of the world. We stayed for 3 nights in Prague, and every day was filled with unforgettable memories.

๐Ÿฐ Day 1 – Old Town Magic, Prague Castle & Vltava River Cruise

We wanted their first full day in Europe to feel magical, so we started where Prague's charm is at its finest- the Old Town (Starรฉ Mฤ›sto).

We strolled through the Old Town Square, watched the Astronomical Clock strike the hour, and took photos near the towering Tรฝn Church and Kinskรฝ Palace. From there, we crossed the iconic Charles Bridge, stopping to admire the musicians, artists, and statues along the way.

Then we headed up the hill to one of the city’s highlights, the majestic Prague Castle. We explored the beautiful St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the colorful houses along Golden Lane. The views from the castle overlooking the city were just unforgettable, it gave us a feeling that this dream was really happening.

To cap off the afternoon, we joined a boat cruise along the Vltava River which is one of the highlights of the day. Watching the sunset while slowly sailing past centuries-old buildings and under historic bridges was truly romantic and relaxing.

๐Ÿ’’ Day 2 – A Wedding to Remember

This day wasn’t just part of the trip but it was a milestone. One of my bestfriends got married in Prague. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’ The ceremony was held at a small, peaceful church. It was simple, elegant, and emotional. Just close friends, family in spirit, and heartfelt vows exchanged in a European city filled with history and romance. We all cried, laughed, and hugged tightly.

After the ceremony, we had a small dinner celebration at a cozy restaurant in Lesser Town (Malรก Strana). We toasted to love, friendship, and answered prayers. Afterwards, we walked along the quiet cobbled streets, admiring the city lights before heading home to rest and prepare for the next leg of our journey.

๐ŸŒ‡ Day 3 – Culture & City Views Before Moving On

On our final day, we revisited some favorite spots for last-minute photos and grabbed brunch near Charles Bridge to enjoy one more sweeping view of the city.

We packed up, feeling both full and emotional, our hearts still soaking in everything we experienced in just 3 days. Prague, with its timeless beauty and laid-back pace, was the perfect beginning for our DIY Europe trip.
